SX Race Report

Kawasaki rider Jake Weimer brought home his fourth win in five races at a muddy Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. With just one short practice and a deteriorating racetrack, the 22-year-old claimed the Supercross Lites victory and extended his points lead to 26 with just three races remaining in the West Coast season.

The consistent rain made for a long day at the track as the teams waited nearly six hours for practice to start. The track crew did a good job keeping the track in good shape as it improved with each session.

Honda 750 Four

One of the most significant machines in recent motorcycling history, the CB750 Four featured a 4-cylinder engine reminiscent of the Honda RC racers. The 750 Four had a terrific exhaust note resonating from four exhausts and, in a first for a production motorcycle, a top speed of over 200 km/h (~125mph). The incredible 750cc 4-cylinder engine featured a wealth of technology developed from sixties era GP racers.

Vulcan Special Edition

One can easily dismiss mid-size cruisers such as the 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom Special Edition.
